ADRIANA JARAMILLO AGUILERA, a Fulbright Scholar at The Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, was born in Bogotá, Colombia. She studied Psychology at Universidad de los Andes, earned an MSc in Clinical Psychology from the University of Manchester, pursued Educational Planning at Penn State, and studied Fine Arts at the Corcoran School of Art and Design. She has served as a professor at Universidad de los Andes, Deputy Director of Family Welfare in Colombia, and Senior Education Specialist at the World Bank, working in conflict zones such as Sierra Leone, Congo, Palestine, and Gaza. Currently, she leads research on art as a medium for fostering dialogue and understanding. Music Healing Journeys is the outcome of a research project aimed at identifying the fundamental elements that contribute to music’s impact on facilitating communication, promoting dialogue, and supporting peacebuilding initiatives in divided societies.
